Three of my favorite things are morning sunshine, painting, and a good cup of coffee. Put these together and you get: ‘Art with my coffee.’

My name is Christine Lewis and I am a self-taught artist from Maine, living in beautiful Juneau, Alaska since 2011.

I have been creating some form of artwork for most of my life but when I came to Alaska, I discovered my passion was for painting its beautiful landscapes.

Words have never been enough for me to express what I feel in my soul when I’m out in nature…the quiet, the sunshine, breezes blowing, birds singing, all the beauty of creation surrounding me.

So much emotion wells up inside me and my heart fills with praises to God for the wonder of it all. I am both humbled and inspired. This is truly what stirs me to paint.

I enjoy trying to capture some of this beauty and emotion in my paintings so that others too, may get a sense of experiencing life in Alaska, and take a piece of it home with them.

In 2017 I was accepted into the Juneau Artist Gallery in Juneau, Alaska. I am honored to be part of this gallery and I look forward to what this year will hold.
